Why Soda Blasting?

181010_sodablastingSoda-Blasting is a process where a surface is cleaned and coatings (of any kind) are stripped from a substrate (the surface beneath the material you are trying to remove). The Soda blaster propels a bicarbonate-of-soda based media via compressed air onto the surface to be cleaned. This process gently removes the material without harming the substrate and can be done wet or dry. Water is sometimes used to activate the baking soda to allow its cleaning qualities to be realized as well as itís virtues as a blast media.

Soda (sodium Bicarbonate) blast media is also environmentally friendly, because of its non-hazardous, soluble, biodegradable properties the residue from blasting can be rinsed into drains or sewers.  Itís so safe you could eat it but we wouldn't recommend it in your daily diet.

Use soda blasting to strip vehicles there is no need for disassembly, no warping, no damage to panels, no damage to glass rubber or chrome.  Soda leaves a very smooth profile which is ideal for paint adhesion Soda blasting makes cracks in metal and fibre glass more visible and because it is water soluble, it easily dissolves making it the perfect blast medium for greasy engine blocks and components.270520101442

Use soda blasting for timbers i.e. fire damage, paint removal, moss and mold removal. As soda is a natural deodorizer, it leaves wood smelling sweet and looking like new.

Soda is gentle when blasted at low pressure in fact so gentle it will remove paint from a light bulb so would be ideal on delicate surfaces such as architectural and bronze monuments.
